ECCO Concert & Kyiv Contemporary Music Days

ECCO Concert er European Composer and Songwriter Alliance’s flagskibsprojekt for ny kunstmusik.

Aftenens program fremføres af Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen under ledelse af dirigent Susanne Blumenthal og byder på seks værker udvalgt blandt 146 indsendelser fra hele Europa. Publikum kan se frem til en musikalsk rejse gennem vidt forskellige klanguniverser, æstetiske udtryk og kunstneriske perspektiver.

• Adrian Mocanu (Ukraine) – Kiovia: esplorazioni delle tenebre
• Joss Smith (Danmark) – Buttons Down the Back
• Anna Arkushyna (Ukraine) – Let Nobody but the Room
• Balázs Horváth (Ungarn) – quasi ciaccona metrica

Koncerten præsenterer både etablerede og nye komponiststemmer fra hele Europa og giver et unikt indblik i den internationale samtidsmusikscene netop nu.

ECCO 2026 arrangeres af ECSA med støtte fra Creative Europe i samarbejde med Kyiv Contemporary Music Days og Art Music Denmark. Koncerten er støttet af Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, Knud Højsgaard Fond, Beckett Fonden, William Demant Fonden, Dansk Tennis Fond, Kulturministeriet og Statens Kunstfond.

ECCO CONCERT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KYIV CONTEMPORARY MUSIC DAYS

ATHELAS invites you to a concert presenting six compelling examples of what is happening in European contemporary music today, expressed through the voices of composers from Ukraine, Hungary, France, Finland, and Denmark. Join us for an evening at Koncertkirken where Europe’s contemporary music converges, challenges, and inspires.

The ECCO Concert is the flagship project of the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) for contemporary art music.

The programme will be performed by Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen under the direction of conductor Susanne Blumenthal and features six works selected from 146 submissions from across Europe. Audiences can look forward to a musical journey through diverse sound worlds, aesthetic approaches, and artistic perspectives.

The concert showcases both established and emerging compositional voices from across Europe, offering a unique insight into the international contemporary music scene today.

ECCO 2026 is organised by ECSA with the support of Creative Europe, in partnership with Kyiv Contemporary Music Days and Art Music Denmark.
